- I don't think the EDO RAM will have any effect on the 68k series amigas.
- If it works by removing wait states, the difference would be undetectable.
- I write this not knowing what this EDO ram is, just in case anyone thought
- me an expert. I ran a test on my M1230 XA 50 Mhz '030 with 60ns wait state
- set (the RAM was rated 60ns). This test was an extensive memory test that
- came on the install disk that takes about 5 minute to run and checks all
- locations of selected memory blocks. I the changed the wait state to 50ns
- (a professional RAM SIMM testing device rated the SIMM at 50ns - it is common
- practice to slightly under-rate ram to increase margin for error) and reran
- the test. The test took 9 seconds less time on this 5 minute test. Not
- much of an improvement. I have no idea how fast the memory bus is on this
- accelerator but I am pretty sure it is faster than the amiga bus.
